Presidents Day!

February 22nd is George Washington's Birthday.  So in honor of Lincoln's & Washington's Birthday this month we celebrated Presidents day with some fun activities at our house!

Building A Log House with Lincoln Logs!
Lincoln was born in a one room log cabin near Hodgenville, Kentucky.

Big D helped mom make this log home.

Lil D made this log home all by himself.

Lil D thought the log homes needed some pipes connecting them.

Abraham Lincoln wore a Top Hat.
Lincoln was one of our TALLEST Presidents!  Without the Hat!

Big D donning his top hat, just like "Honest Abe"

George Washington cut down his father's Cherry Tree - Maybe?
George was a General in the Revolutionary War
George Washington was President for 8 years.

Washington may or may not have cut down a Cherry Tree?  But we decided to play the Game Hi Ho! Cherry-O,  in honor of him!

This was just a little taste of American History for my boys.  I believe that learning about the people that helped form our country and all its freedoms is very important!

Thanks for visiting!
